Let the games begin!

The only evidence was a single kidney in the bathroom, but it heralded the start of ratting season again.

As the nights close in and darkness falls earlier and earlier the cats are developing that hankering.

It will be interesting to see how the rats fare this year. I'm dreading the various disemboweled creatures and body parts that will be scattered throughout the house.

Last year there was a rat that was almost (and I am not lying) the size of our smaller cat. Lord alone knows where it came from, but that was one big rodent. It was enjoyed as a five course meal by both felines I can tell you, and they didn't even leave any trace of it afterwards.
