Farewell to an icon

This week saw the death of an American legend - Ted Kennedy (Edward Moore Kennedy) of the fabled Kennedy family, more commonly known as the first family of America and American politics.

His was a life of privilege,tragedy and triumph. Yet he contributed and left an indelible mark on the political landscape of not only America, but the world as a whole. Now there is only one Kennedy left, Jean Kennedy Smith.

Whatever one's feelings about him and the family, you cannot help feeling that a way of life has died.
