Destructive criticism..

The coming two weeks have the dubious and infamous distinction of enduring increase time. It is a time of year that I have come to hate with a passion and vengenance. All the work and sweat that you've put into the year culminate in this one time of judgement. The "panel" which consists of the boss and the business manager - now there's a combination from hell if ever there were one! sit together and thrash out what you are going to get.

If you are lucky and manage to keep right up the boss and business manager's backside- believe you me its crowded in there! You might get a really good increase. However if like the rest of us, you just want to do your job, and be rewarded for doing it to the best of your abilities, and you get the begrudging 6% with the famous "we'd think you're doing a great job, but we can only offer you R200 more" speech. It is quite insulting to one's intelligence.

Stay tuned people this is gonna be good. I am keen to hear what the so-called omnipotent one tells me this year - should be a hoot!!
