They're back!

At long last, after enduring a long, hard winter of cold it is so nice to hear the migrant birds that grace our shores every summer. First to arrive is the Red Chested Cuckoo - more commonly and colloquially known as the Piet My Vrou for his strident Whip, Whip Wee call. Now the Yellow billed kites are cruising overhead, and I can hear the gorgeous sounds of the Paradise Flycatcher.

Yes, indeed it is a good time of the year.
